Well, I'm done talking about the cats for awhile which I know will make some of you relieved. I know it's a little late but I have to Blog about our annual trip to St. George from the week after Christmas to New Years. This year was great because everyone was able to be there. The trip didn't start out as fun because we were having new carpet laid throughout the condo so the first day we were there we had to move all the furniture out onto the decks and rip up the carpet and then the second day we did the same thing to the downstairs (well, I say "we" but really that means Paul, Trent and my Dad). Anyway, the first day, while we were waiting for the carpet guy to finish up we all just kind of hung out in the downstairs. Jennifer read a story to the kids which translates to Jennifer read aloud while the kids ran around and jumped on the mattresses but it wasn't in vain my Mom and Grandma were totally sucked into the story. Then my Dad played cards with the kids for awhile. My Dad can always command all the kids’ attention. The funniest thing for me was when Kyle was playing on someone's computer. Kyle is very self-assured and he maintains this at times by talking himself through things. For example, he talks to himself when he is... in the bathroom. He'll say things like "you can do it, almost there just keep pushing". So, when he was playing with someone's computer he was talking himself through a game and I had to get a picture.

Finally it was New Years Eve and we played lots of games. All us girls played a friendly game of spoons. Well, it was pretty intense, I was surprised I made it as far as I did, though I didn't quite make it to the finals - that was Shelley and Steph in the face off. The battle for Remington's attention of course continued and Shelley didn't slack in her continued effort to secure her spot as his favorite aunt. Jen & Trent made the mistake of playing Wii downstairs while their kids were upstairs with me - also while this was happening Shelley was playing with Remington so, like any good aunt I gave all the kids their own can of Pepsi :) I told them to drink fast, that's why they all look like their shooting it back. Then I went downstairs and got some pics of the games going on. The vampire twins were playing pool and Jen and Trent were bowling on the Wii (I know, you thought Jen was striking a statue of liberty pose but... she is in fact playing a game).

Lastly, on the day we were going to go home someone suggested (as always seems to happen) a hike in snow canyon. Some of you may remember last year’s infamous hike with all the blood and drama. You may also remember my vow to never go again... that's why I'm in all these pictures because of my strong will power and ability to not be talked into things. Luckily this time there was no blood... just a man getting naked on top of one of the rocks. He started undressing when we were up there so we took the hint and walked down and every time we looked back he had taken off more of his clothes. Sheesh, it's a family hiking spot dude! This isn't a nudist yoga colony!! Anyway, we got some good pics. I told Paul to get a picture of me to show my exhaustion however my Dad mis-read this and thought we wanted our picture taken together so he volunteered (my Dad is so great). We got some other great pictures. If you’re wondering about the one with Shelley, me and Remington, Paul took it. Feel free to offer him any tips you have about centering pictures :) It was a lot of fun and as always great to see Steph and Jeff. We look forward to next year and more family fun!!

Cute pictures Janet!! I love to see someone taking as many pictures as I do on a trip! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! I like the new carpet...nice to have a darker color! Thanks for all your hard work (or thank the boys for me)!
P.S. You are beautiful!!
Looks like tons of fun! And thanks for all your hard work down there with the carpet! I'm excited to see it! Love all the pics.
You really do have the best blog! I love the pictures, it was a fun trip. You're awesome (and cute)!
Funny post. I think your younger sister looks like the redhead from desperate housewives. When we lived in St. George we never saw any nudists, but I always knew there were some living amongst us.
